In-Home ABA Therapy in Florida & Texas

ABA therapy doesn't always have to happen in a clinic. At The Behavior Change, we provide individualized in-home Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy for children and families across our service areas in South Florida and Texas.

By bringing therapy into your child's home, our clinical team can work on meaningful skills within the routines and environment your child experiences every day. Individualized ABA. Familiar Environment. Real-Life Skills.

What Is In-Home ABA Therapy?

In-home ABA therapy brings individualized behavioral support directly into your child's home. Instead of practicing every skill in a separate clinical environment, therapy can incorporate the people, activities, routines, and situations that are already part of your child's everyday life.

Depending on your child's assessment and treatment plan, sessions may focus on skills related to:
  • Functional communication
  • Daily living and self-care
  • Independence
  • Social and play skills
  • Transitions between activities
  • Following everyday routines
  • Safety skills
  • Skills that support self-regulation
  • Participation in family activities
Treatment goals are individualized to each child rather than based on a standard program.

Why Families Choose In-Home ABA Therapy

Home is where many important everyday moments happen: Getting dressed. Eating meals. Playing. Completing routines. Communicating needs. Moving from one activity to another.

In-home ABA creates opportunities to teach and practice individualized skills within those real situations.

A Familiar Environment

Some children may be more comfortable learning within an environment and routine they already know.

Real-Life Practice

Skills can be practiced during naturally occurring activities rather than only within structured therapy exercises.

Family Collaboration

When appropriate, parents and caregivers can learn strategies for supporting their child's goals outside therapy sessions.

What Does an In-Home ABA Session Look Like?

There isn't one standard session that every child receives. An in-home ABA session is based on the child's individualized treatment plan, age, skills, needs, and goals.

A session might incorporate structured learning opportunities alongside everyday activities such as:
  • Play: Building communication, interaction, turn-taking, or other individualized skills through activities your child enjoys.
  • Daily Routines: Practicing skills during naturally occurring routines around the home.
  • Communication: Helping your child develop effective ways to express wants, needs, choices, and other meaningful information.
  • Transitions: Practicing moving between activities and routines with increasing independence.
  • Independent Skills: Developing age and developmentally appropriate skills that support greater participation in everyday life.

Your Child's ABA Team

In-home ABA is a coordinated clinical service, not simply someone coming to your home to work with your child.

Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)

A BCBA evaluates your child's needs, develops and oversees the individualized treatment plan, monitors progress, and provides clinical supervision.

Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)

After the individualized treatment plan is set, an RBT works directly with your child to implement the treatment plan under BCBA supervision.
Treatment is continually informed by data, clinical observation, and your child's progress so the team can determine whether strategies and goals need to be adjusted.
